Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the CloudSort Exchange, Transporters, and Gateways.
A Transporter represents the unit of goods a Buyer or Demand-side User is planning to move from point of origin to destination. Generally, it represents a pallet of goods that will be transported through the system.
These are facilities where goods (transporters) are tendered to and recovered from the Supplier. Using Airports as an analogy; airports are to flights what Gateways are to Lanes. The Origin Gateway is where the Buyer will tender transporter(s) to the Supplier and the Destination Gateway is where the Buyer is responsible for recovering the transporter(s) from the Supplier.
Gateways have contact information published on the Exchange in the Transporter Detail section. The contact information is also available on the Transporter Label.

The location of the Transporter will be updated with the next scan event.
Currently there is no penalty. However, Suppliers have the option to refuse bookings from abusive Buyers.
No. Transporters are meant to travel as-is. Contents are not to be disturbed by the Supplier.
Yes. For each update, the User is able to capture and upload an image of the Transporter.
If there are no Transporter scans, the Exchange assumes that the transaction never occurred. However, as long as there is at least one scan event from the Supplier, the Exchange assumes the transaction took place and will charge accordingly.
The Capacity Blocks are never re-published on the Exchange and will expire as waste. Currently, when this happens, there is no charge to the Buyer and no payment made to the Supplier. However, Suppliers have the option to refuse bookings from abusive Buyers.
Claims are to be resolved between the Buyer and Supplier in accordance with the Terms of Service.
